Day 0: Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. Rest and attend your pre-trek briefing and equipment check with your mountain guide.

After breakfast, drive to Lemosho Gate (2,100m) for registration, then begin trekking through quiet, lush rainforest. Keep an eye out for colobus monkeys and colorful bird species as you ascend to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Overnight: Mti Mkubwa Camp

Climb gradually out of the forest and into moorland, enjoying sweeping views of Kilimanjaro’s western slopes. Continue toward the Shira Plateau and settle in at Shira 1 Camp.

Overnight: Shira 1 Camp

After your crater tour, continue to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.
