Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha → Lake Natron

Depart Arusha and travel through the scenic Maasai lowlands toward the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Natron, known for its flamingoes and surreal salt flats. In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing walk to the Ngarasero Waterfalls. Rest early in preparation for the night climb.

Begin your ascent shortly after midnight for cooler climbing conditions. The steep trail leads you to the summit by sunrise, where incredible views stretch across Lake Natron, Mount Gelai, Lengai’s crater, and even distant Mt. Kilimanjaro on clear mornings. Descend back to camp, rest, and recover for the remainder of the day.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast overlooking the volcanic landscape. Optional early visit to the lake shore to watch flamingoes feeding. Depart Lake Natron and arrive back in Arusha by late afternoon.
